The <br /> <br />13 members must be appointed by January 1, 1986. The chair of the <br />14 senate committee on taxes and tax laws and the chair of the <br /> <br />15 house committee on taxes shall be members of the commission and <br /> <br />16 shall serve as co-chairs of the co~mnission. <br />17 Subd. 3. [STAFF.] The co~mission shall use leoislative <br />18 facilities and staff. In performing its duties, the commission <br />19 may request information and assistance from any state officer or <br />20 a~ency~ or from officers of local units of 9overnment. The <br />21 state agencies or officers and the local officers shall promptly <br />22 furnish assistance and shall provide information to the extent <br /> <br />23 permitted by law. <br />24 Subd. 4. [EXPENSES.] The expenses and per diem payments of <br />25 commission members must be paid from the legislative expense <br /> <br />26 fund of their respective body upon app[oval bS the co-chair of <br />27 the commission from that body. Other expenses of the <br /> <br />28 commission, including expenses of local government officers <br /> <br />29 assisting the commission under subdivision 3, shall be evenly <br /> <br />30 divided between the house of representatives and the senate. <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />3q <br /> <br />Subd. 5. [TERM.] The commission expires January 1, 1987. <br /> <br />Sec. 2. [REPORT BY DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE.] <br /> <br />The ~epartment of revenue shall report to the commission <br /> <br />the distribution of market value, assessed value, and 9ross <br /> <br />35 taxes between land and improvement values for different classes <br /> <br />36 of property in each county, The report must include a review of <br /> <br /> <br />
