[STAFF.] The co~mission shall use leoislative <br />18 facilities and staff. In performing its duties, the commission <br />19 may request information and assistance from any state officer or <br />20 a~ency~ or from officers of local units of 9overnment. The <br />21 state agencies or officers and the local officers shall promptly <br />22 furnish assistance and shall provide information to the extent <br /> <br />23 permitted by law. <br />24 Subd. 4. [EXPENSES.] The expenses and per diem payments of <br />25 commission members must be paid from the legislative expense <br /> <br />26 fund of their respective body upon app[oval bS the co-chair of <br />27 the commission from that body. Other expenses of the <br /> <br />28 commission, including expenses of local government officers <br /> <br />29 assisting the commission under subdivision 3, shall be evenly <br /> <br />30 divided between the house of representatives and the senate. <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />3q <br /> <br />Subd. 5. [TERM.] The commission expires January 1, 1987. <br /> <br />Sec. 2.
