Chairman Greenberg stated that be believes Ramsey's East actions prove It's commitment to oonmercial and industrial develoRment. m m m Commissioner Oox stated that thousands of dollars have been spent to bring this oonmunity to where it is today. Commissioner Cox stated that the request for a position statement was initiated by Airport Co~ission member Dick Sieber, a person that does not want oo~ercial develoi~nent in the City but has no problem in deriving benefit from the tax base created by commercial develo~ent. Commissioner Cox stated that Mr. Sieber started a business in a basement in Andover and it's people like this that question a policy that has been established in Ramsey for more than 20 years and request that it be changed to please th~. m m m Motion by ~issioner Hardin and seconded by Con~nissioner Vevea to inform the Airport Corm~ission that it is the opinion of the Economic Development Cor~ission that Ramsey is ocm~nitted to balanced oommercial and industrial develol~ent based on the fact that this Eoonomic Development Commission and the Airport Con~ission were established by City Council for that sole purpose.
