Commissioner Cox stated that the request <br />for a position statement was initiated by Airport Co~ission member Dick <br />Sieber, a person that does not want oo~ercial develoi~nent in the City but has <br />no problem in deriving benefit from the tax base created by commercial <br />develo~ent. Commissioner Cox stated that Mr. Sieber started a business in a <br />basement in Andover and it's people like this that question a policy that has <br />been established in Ramsey for more than 20 years and request that it be <br />changed to please th~. <br /> <br />m <br />m <br />m <br /> <br />Motion by ~issioner Hardin and seconded by Con~nissioner Vevea to inform the <br />Airport Corm~ission that it is the opinion of the Economic Development <br />Cor~ission that Ramsey is ocm~nitted to balanced oommercial and industrial <br />develol~ent based on the fact that this Eoonomic Development Commission and <br />the Airport Con~ission were established by City Council for that sole purpose. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
