Economic De~;elor~ent Brochure: Mot]on by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner Vevea authorizing City Planner Anne Norris to draft a resolution, for Council adoption at their meetin9 of March 26, 1985, regarding advertising for bids for the printing of the Ramsey Economic Develounent Brochure. Motion carried. Voting Yes: ChairmanGreenberg, Co~missioners Hardin, Fults, Miller, Muller, Vevea and Cox. Voting No: None. Absent: C(m]missioners Schmidt and Wagner. ~ Fill Stephen Sc3~]dt's Posit/on On ~he Economic Develor~ent Motion by Co~nissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Fults that the Economic Development Co~mission regretfully accepts the resignation of Mr. Stephen Schmidt; requests that a letter of appreciation for past service be forwarded to Mr. Stephen Schmidt and that letter should include the fact that Economic DeveloI~pent Con~nission would like to continue to have the opportunity to consult with Mr. Schmidt on certain matters. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Fults, Hardin, Miller, Muller, Vevea and Cox. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Schmidt and Wagner. Con~ission noted that there are two applicants for the vacancy: Mr. Tom Kurak and Mr. Tom Gamec. Commissioner COx stated that his choice is Mr. Tom Kurak as he is a business~nn in the oommunity and that is what this Commission is all about. Commissioner COx pointed out that Mr. Tom Gamec currently bolds a position on another City commission, namely Charter. Mot/on by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Vevea to recommend that City Council appoint Mr. Tom Kurak to the Eoonomic Development Commission to fill out the unexpired term of Mr. Stephen Schmidt, which term shall expire January 31, 1988. ~ Further Discussion: Commissioner ~ardin noted that Mr. Tom Gamec can provide some valuable expertise and contacts to aid this Commission in accomplishing it's goals. Mr. Tom Kurak stated that in view of his recent experience gained in relocating his business in Ramsey, he could provide some expertise in the way of what is needed to encourage business to locate in Ramsey.
