Me~e r s P~esent: Mayor Gary Heib~an Council~mber A1 Sorteberg Councilm~ber Gary Reimann Councilm~nber Jean Sch/ueter Councilm~nber Arnie Cox Also Present: City Ac~.irdstrator Llcyd Schnelle Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg City Attorney William Goodrich Larry Koshak of Hakanson/Anderson Engineering Reporter Angela Flint Mayor Heitman called the public bearing to order at 9:00 p.m. PRESENTATION BY ENGINEER Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sealooating Improv~ent Project ~85-11 showing affected area and estimated total and per unit costs. Deb Geske - 7210 149th Lane - Ir~uired if Council is aware that part of Pineview Estates may be affected by the possible expansion of the Gateway North Airport; some of the streets may not be in existence two years down the line. Also irguired as to who pays the assessments for the two abandoned homes in that area. Mr. Koshak - Replied that the c~ners of the abandoned properties will receive an assessment. Mayor Beitman - Stated that the City may have to carry the assessments for the abandoned properties until such time as those properties are sold and the City w~ll then recuperate it's costs. Ren Rautio - 7521 149th Avenue - Stated that the portion of the street by the swamp has been settling and needs to be brought back up prior to sealooating. Ommnercial delivery trucks travel this street and it should be stopped. There are only 5 homes on this stretch and most of the vehicular travel on this street is from all the bc~es west that travel this road to Tc~ Thu-nb.
