M~rs Present: Acting Mayor Gary Reimann Councilm~nber Jean Schlueter Councilm~nber Arnie Cox Councilme~ber A1 Sorteberg A1 so Pr esent: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle City Engineer Peter Raatikka City Attorney Wil]iam Goodrich City Planner Anne Norris Reporter Angela Flint M~rs Absent: Mayor Gary Heitman ~ TO ORD~ Acting Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:37 p.m. PRESENTATION Mr. Mike Gait proceeded to give a presentation regarding the proposed Nor thfork P.U.D. Mr. Gair stated that develofment involves 1253 acres of land area on the western edge of Ramsey on the Anoka/Sherburne County line. Mr. Gair presented an aerial photo of the property and maps identifying soil types, vegetation, platted ground, open sp~ces, wetlands and road alignment. Mr. Gait stated that the master site plan sukmitted proposes 251 single family lots on 560 acres of land with the balance of land, 1200 acres, being in wetlands and open space. Just north of the weigh station, there is an existing railroad crossing that will irdtiate entry into the develotm~nt. Phase I of the P.U.D. will include development of 50 home sites and o~mplete oonstruction of the main north/south roac~ay. Those first 50 home sites will involve 137 acres total land area, 18 acres of right-of-way and 1098 acres in outlot area to be platted for future subdivision. Average lot size in Phase I will be 2.74 acres. Cc~pleted P.U.D. total density will be 1 unit/5 acres throughout the 1253 acres. ~ITIZEN INPUT April 23, 1985 Page 1 of 3
