I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PRf)CEED]NG$ OF CITY fDUNCIL <br /> P~LI C HLARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA fDUNTY <br /> STATE OF MI~NEgOTA <br /> <br />The R~sey City Council conducted a public bearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nc~then Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Mir~nesota <br />regarding Sealcoating Improv~ent Pzoject ~85-4, Jaspar Street R]~ area. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmamber Jean Schlueter <br />Councilm~-~ber Gary Reimann <br />Councilm~mber Arnie Cox <br />Councilme~er A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney Goodrich (arrived 7:41 p.m.) <br />Larry Koshak of Haka_nson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />CAt.t, TO O~DER <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the public bearing to order at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />.pRES~ATI~BY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sea/coating Improv~,ent Project <br />t85-4 shc~ing the affected area and estimated total and per unit costs. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman noted that aco~rding to City Charter, Council cannot take any <br />action on improv~ent projects until 60 days following the public hearing. <br /> <br />Bill Ayers - 7210 161st Lane - Stated that there is s~me street deterioration <br />in his project area that should be repaired prior to seatooating. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak replied that the City Streets Department is responsible for <br />necessary patching and filling repairs prior to sea/coating. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that if the repairs are too major, the City will authorize <br />the contractor to make the repairs. <br /> <br />T~u Dahlen - 6621 156th Avenue - Inquired if the City puts out for competitive <br />bids on sealooating projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak replied that the City follows State statute - the project is <br />advertised in the newspapers and construction bullentins and bids are received <br />at City Ball; the bids are then presented to Council for award recommendation. <br />The figures presented tonight are estimates. <br /> April 9, 1985 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
