I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />B) Request For Variance Fr~m Si~n Ordinance~ Case Of Mr. ~im Dickenson - <br /> <br />Oouncil tabled this case as Mr. Dickenson was not present to sutmit a layout <br />of sign oontent to Oouncil. <br /> <br />A) Introduction Of Ordinance %85-5 Vacating Easements Within Property Which <br /> Will Be Pl~tted As Flintw~od Hills ~econd Addition - <br /> <br />Gouncil noted that Ordinance %85-5 was introduoed to Council in the April 23 <br />agenda___ and will be included in the May 28 agenda for adoption. <br /> <br />B) Ado?tion Of Ordinance %85-4. An Ordinance Amending Ordinance %84-13 <br /> Entitled City_ Funds - <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that this ordinance would establish a fund in which to <br />deposit that $.15/cubic yard tipping fee the City will be receiving from the <br />landfill. The fund is specifically geared to landfill abab~nent matters only <br />and cannot be loaned out or even use as ~x)llateral is doubtful. <br /> <br />Councilmomber Schlueter stated that it is her understanding that the tipping <br />fees were to be used for oompensation and mitigation matters; abat~ent deals <br />with source reoovery, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca of the Landfill Ad Hoc C~ttee was present and reaffirmed <br />Councilmsmber Schlueter's stat~ent; designation of the fund for abatenent <br />matters is incorrect; according to the House of Representatives Research <br />Department, it would not be proper to use those tipping fees for abat~nent; <br />that portion of the County funds the city reoeives should be used for <br />abatement purposes. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich suggested that the ordinance be corrected and reintroduced to <br />Gouncil. <br /> <br />Motion by Oouncilmsmber Reimann and seconded by Councilm~mber (Dx to table <br />adoption of Ordinance %85-4 until the May 28, 1985 Gouncil meeting in order to <br />allow City Staff an opportunity to research proper naming and uses for this <br />particular city fund. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heih~an, Councilmmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />C) Introduction Of Ordinance %85-6 Authorizing The Oonvey_apce Of <br /> <br />Council noted that this ordinance was introduced in the addend~n to the April <br />23, 1985 agenda. <br /> <br />;R]option Of Findings Of Fact In Reoards To 14980 Peridot Street <br /> <br />May 14, 1985 <br /> <br />Page9 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
