Regular City Council meeting and Public Hearing meetin9 minutes dated <br />April 9, 1985. <br /> <br />2. Special City Gouncil meeting minutes dated April 16, 1985. <br /> <br />3. Regular City Oouncil meeting and Public Hearing meeting minutes dated <br />Apr il 23, 1985. <br /> <br />The Oommission discussed the Landfill Ad Hoc ~ttee task of studyin9 the <br />landfill trust fund and making r~ndations for useage of that money; it <br />was suggested that the Landfill O0~mittee be approached regarding a portion of <br />those landfill monies being used for economic development in the City. <br />(kmmissioner Cox stated that the Landfill (k~ttee is leaning towards <br />recon~mending that the principal balance be retained to solve any future <br />problems that may arise as a result of the landfill and the interest money <br />derived would be used in a way that would benefit the entire oo~unity. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg brought up the subject of fDBG funds for discussion. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that as of July 1, 1985 there should be approximately <br />$100,000 available for Ramsey's use. Ms. Norris reconm~nded that a revolving <br />loan fund for CDBG dollars be established through the Local Develolm~.nt <br />Corporation. <br /> <br />Case_ %1: Su~ttee_Reports: <br /> <br />a) L~ative_- <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller stated that he _ba.~ received a reply from Representative <br />Hartinger regarding this Co~ssion's letter on proposed changes to referend~ <br />'in bonding issues; Mr. Hartinger is studying the issue and will be reporting <br />back to Ramsey EDC. (ImmLtssioner Muller stated that Ms. Norris has received a <br />reply from Senator Dahl and he too is giving the matter of referend~ in <br />bonding issues further consideration. <br /> <br />Oouncilmember Cox stated that he has forwarded a copy of Ramsey's EDC letter <br />regarding referendum in bonding to the Department of Energy and Eoonomic <br />DeveloI~ent and they too have indicated concern. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx stated that the County and School District should support <br />Ramsey's efforts in this area. <br /> <br />Motion by (lmmissioner Muller and seconded by (km~seioner Miller to forward <br />to the County and the School District that letter prepared by the Ramsey EDC <br />and request that they support and endorse Ramsey's proposed change in <br />legislation to bring about truth in referend~ns. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
