The building would require over $100,000 in renovation to <br />acoomodate the new business. Goon Rapids and Friclley have offered this <br />particular business 8-1/2% interest new building money to locate in their <br />co~nunities; Ramsey should offer some benefit to locate here. (lmm%issioner <br />Cox suggested that this Commi~ion r~ that Council, at their Board of <br />Review oontinuation scheduled for May 13, reduce the tax base on that Kovar <br />building because it is not marketable and saleable at what it is currently <br />assessed. The potential incoming business would employee in the area of 60 <br />persons and would not require sewer and water; the buyer is aware of the sewer <br />and water status for that area. <br /> <br />Motion by (bmmissioner Miller and seconed by C~ssioner Wagner to reoonm~nd <br />that City Council, at their Board of Review oontinuation meeting scheduled for <br />May 13, reduce the tax base valuation on the Kovar building. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Osmmissioners Miller, <br />Muller, Wagner and Cox. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner Hardin. <br />Absent: C~ssioners Vevea and Fults. <br /> <br />(Dmmissioner Cox stated that he is hereby sut~itting formal verbal resignation <br />from the Economic Develolmmnt C~ssion effective inmedia~y.
