Letter From Anoka County Regarding Abatement Team R~tions: Council noted Anoka County's letter dated May 6, 1985 regarding the Anoka County Board of Omlnissioners approval of the Abatement Team Recommendation regarding a procurement lxocess for a Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) facility capable of prooessing a minimum of 400 tons per day or more of mixed municipal waste. O~uncilmember Cox stated that he feels Anoka County is considering placing an RDF facility at Site P. Councilm~nber COx stated that he doesn't think Ramsey should cooperate or indicate any cooperation with the (bunty a~d initiate action expressing Ramsey's objection to having such a facility in the Mayor Heitman stated that he would cooperate to the fullest extent if the RDF facility were to be located in a co~nunity other than Ramsey. Mayor Heitman stated that he realizes this is a selfish attitude but feels Ramsey has performed it's duty by way of providing a landfill for some 20-25 years. Motion by (Duncilmmber (Dx and seoonded by Councilmember Sorteberg to direct City Staff to prepare a letter to Oounty G0~missioner Natalie ~aas encouraging that the (Dunty exclude Ramsey in their site selection prooess for any landfill associated i~dustry such as RDF, Mass Burn, Waste Abatement, Landfill Expansion, etc. Further, that the letter should oontain the signatures of the entire Ramsey City Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Beitman, Gouncilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Anoka County Eng_ineer's Re _sponse To Ramsey's Resolution t85-81 Regarding County Road #57 Railroad Crossing: Council noted letter from Anoka Oounty Engineer dated May 8, 1985 regarding Ramsey's Resolution %85-al pertaining to CSAH %57 railroad corssing. Motion by (Duncilmember (Dx and seoonded by Mayor ~eitman to direct City Staff to prepare a letter to the Anoka (Dunty Department of Highways thanking them for their cooperation in the matter of improvements to railroad crossing at CSAH #57. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor ~{eitman, Counci~rs Sorteberg, Cox, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Requ_ est That Council Extend _Approval Of Bolding One R _egular Meeting_ Per Month To October 1~ 1985: Motion by (Duncilm~m~er Reimann and seoonded by Councilmember (Dx to approve of holding only one regular (Duncil meeting each month which will be the 4th Tuesday, until October 1, 1985.
