Councilmenber Cox stated that he doesn~ t think the Park Ccm~ss~on <br />is keeping up to date on th~ngs! they must not even know that there is a city <br />newsletter because they didn't know who has been donating labor and equii~ent <br />at River's Bend Park and that was all published in the r~wsletter. <br />Oouncilmeabr Oox stated that this (Duncil will have to be res~ons/ble and make <br />a decision. Mayor Heitman pointed out that ~ouncil has already been acc%%sed of <br />not taking the recam~tions of other City ammissions. Mayor Hei~man stated <br />that he is not opposed to the development of River's Bend Park but he would <br />prefer to take action after a recommendation has been received frcm Park and <br />Recreation 00~ission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Oouncilmembers Sorteberg, (Dx and Reimann. <br />Voting No: Mayor Beitman and Councilm~mber Schlueter. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Letter Dated June 13. 1985 From Chief Accountant Haapala Regardin_a <br />Cou~lcilmember Cox's R _equest For Check Authorization On June 13. 1985 - <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that during this evenings Council recess he was provided <br />with a copy of a letter fza~ ~hief Accountant Baapala dated June 13, 1985. <br />~hat letter outlines the course of e~ents on June 13 when Councilmenber Cox <br />approached S~ff for a check authorization to purchase a boat and trailer to be <br />raffled at the ~ty Park l~stivsl. ~he letter also has a bar~ritten <br />notation on it that says a check was issued and (k)un~r Oox directed Mr. <br />Bob Muller to return it to City HaLl; this conflicts with (bun~r Oox's <br />earlier statements made during Citizen Input regarding his never having <br />received a check for the boat and trailr. Mayor Heitman requested that the <br />letter be entered into the record.
