You <br />requested that it be continued to the July 10 meeting. <br />There has been some discussion reo. arding the EDC <br />scheduling a tour of the local businesses for sometime <br />in September; all advisory ore, mission members and City <br />Council members would be invited to attend this tour. <br /> <br />UPDATE(~ REOUESTBY MATE PUNCH ANDDIE FOR EXTENSIC~ <br /> <br />As you know, the Economic and Finance Subcommittee have <br />been meet/ng to work on Mate's request. To date, the <br />Subcommittee has established preliminary costs for <br />the extension of sewer to Mate. Before making any <br />reco~endations, the Su~ittee will be meeting with <br />Ms. Arlin Waelti (Bond Counsel for the City) and Ms. <br />JoAnn Wright (CEBG Specialist at Anoka County) to dis- <br />all possibilities for financing this ixoject. <br /> <br />DISCU~I(~ ~IN~ VACANCIF~ (~ <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMISSI~ <br /> <br />As you know, there are currently t~o vacancies on the <br />EDC. Enclosed in (D2-c) are letters of application <br />from three individuals interested in serving on the <br />EDC. If the C~ssion wishes to interview these <br />individuals, a special meeting could be arranged so <br />that a recommendation oould be forwarded to the City <br />Council for action at their July 23, 1985 meet/ng. <br /> <br />RESl~SE FROM LANDFILL AD HOC fDMMI/TEE REGARDING <br />EDC' S RBOUEST Pd~74tRDING LANDFILL ~UST FUNDS <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed in (D2-d) are minutes <br />frc~ the June 17, 1985 Landfill Ad Roc Committee <br />meeting when the letter fr~ the EDC was discussed <br />regarding possible uses for the Landfill Trust Funds. <br />Plea_se note that the Committee suggested that the EDC <br />pursue legislation to address its concerns rather than <br />the Landfill Trust funds. <br /> <br />/he following items are enclosed for your information.. <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-e) contains an article frcm the June <br />10, 1985 edit/on of the ~+S ~eview regarding fi- <br />nancing opportunities for small businesses; <br /> <br />b.
