Jean is married and has <br /> <br />ifour children and three grandchildren. <br />She is a member of Olive Branch Lutheran <br /> Church. <br /> <br />Lean graduated from high school in <br />ilwaukee and attended the University <br />of Wisconsin and Anoka-Ramsey Community <br /> <br />ICollege. <br /> <br /> Jean is a partner in Park Golf Supply <br /> <br />iCompany, was employed with the City of <br />Coon Rapids from 1969-72 in the Finance <br />Department, was an office manager with <br />Columbia Park Clinic from 1961-64 and <br />Ii966-69, and with the St. <br /> employed <br /> was <br />Cloud Medical Group, St. Cloud, MN from <br />1958-62. <br />IJean's community activities include: <br />Member of the Charter Commission for <br /> ithe City of Coon Rapids, Member of the <br /> <br /> City of Coon Rapids Budget Subcommittee, <br /> I~olling in 1980 and City of Coon Rapids <br />! <br /> Budget Subcommittee-Public Safety in 1984, <br /> was Chairwoman of the Women's Classic Golf <br /> <br /> iTournament for the City of Coon Rapids <br /> Silver Anniversary in 1984, and is a member <br /> of the Coon Rapids Womeo6JFederated Club, <br /> American Legion, VFW, and Coon Rapids <br />I IEconomic Development Company. <br /> <br /> Jean was a political candidate for the <br /> I ~Minnesota House of Representatives in <br /> 1984 for House District #49 (Coon Rapids), <br /> was Chairwoman of U.S. Senator Dave <br /> <br /> ivDUrenberger's "Outreach Committee" in the <br /> ixth Congressional District, and has held <br /> arious offices in the I.R. party from <br /> irecinct Chairwoman to Vice Chairwoman <br /> f the 5ixLi, Congressional District. <br /> <br />Joe has been the general manager of <br />the Anoka Electric Cooperative since <br />September, 1979. Anoka Electric <br />Cooperative provides electric service <br />to 53,000 consumers in Anoka and <br />adjoining counties. <br /> <br />Joe is presently a member of the <br />Anoka Kiwanis Club and an elder in <br />the Brooklyn Center Church of Christ. <br />He is a former director of the Anoka <br />A~ea Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />P~ior to moving to Minnesota, Joe <br />worked on the staff of an electric <br />Co-op in Tennessee for 20 years, <br />during which time he served as <br />chairman of the county school board <br />and president of several civic organi- <br />zations, including the United Way. <br /> <br />Joe sei'vedIfour years in the U.S. Air <br />Force and 18 years in the Air National <br />Guard, retiring with the rank of Lt. Col. <br /> <br />He has a B.S. degree in mathematics from <br />Middle Tennessee State University, and <br />a M.S. degree in physics from Vanderbilt <br />University. He has been married for <br />28 years and is the father of four <br />grown children. <br /> <br /> <br />
