I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was oonducted on Tuesday, July 23, 1985 at the R~sey Municipal Oenter, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Members Present: Mayor Gary Heitman Gouncilmenber Jean Schlueter Councilmmber Gary Reimann Gouncilm~,ber A1 Sorteberg Councilmember Arnie (Dx Also Present City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle City Attorney Willia~ Goodrich Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg City Engineer Peter Raatikka (arrived 10:20 p.m.) Reporter Angela Flint Mayor Heitman called the regular Council meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. MAYOR' S STATE OF THE CITY REPORT Mayor Heitman stated that copies of his State of the City Report are available for Council and i~_~blic information; the report will be published in the next issue of the Tri-City Newsletter. Gouncilmember Reimann asked if the State of the City Report was prepared by Mayor Heitman or City Administrator Schnelle. Mayor Heitman stated that the report was a joint effort. Susan Beale - 14851 Sunfish Lake Blvd. - Stated that at a June Council meeting Councilman (Dx stated that at a special meeting, which by resolution indicated City approval for issuance of a gambling license, was attended by three 'accountable' councilpersons. Ms. Beale stated that a closer looks shows just hew accountable they are; the following occurrences are recent actions by all or some of those 3 councilpersons: 1. Failure to pay property taxes on time in 1984 on his business and house. e Failure to pay for and obtain a license to operate his business since 1981. July 23, 1985 Page 5 of 13
