Not to allo~ for variances frcm the established street <br /> grid syste~ in Ramsey. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />To require the developer to place a $10,000 non- <br />refundable escro~ with the City to be used for <br />maintenance oosts on Jarvis Street. <br /> <br />Further, to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to <br />sign the amended develoi~nent agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hei~an, Councilm~nbers <br />Sorteberg, Co]ox, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Douglas Fountain stated that in Apri, 1985 Council made <br />a decision not to require a second emergency acoess in <br />Northfork. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that there is a second access provided <br />for in Northfork. <br /> <br />Proposed Policy_ On Attending Seminars And Schools <br /> <br />Oouncilm~nber Reimann stated that ncw that there is a <br />union, seminars and schools should be considered a <br />negotiating or bargaining it~n and be addressed in the <br />union contract. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman inquired as to what the benefit would be to <br />the City if schools and s~ninars are a negotiated item and <br />emplcyees do not attend schools and seninars. <br /> <br />Gouncilm~nber Cox stated that there are certain things an <br />employee must attend in order to maintain job status; that <br />ufx3rading education benefits the individual for if and when <br />he moves to a different position. <br /> <br />Oouncilmepber Sorteberg stated that Ramsey does have a good <br />policy and questioned whether it should be changed. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Reimann stated that attendance is not the <br />only point; there is the time taken off, meals, use of <br />~ompany vehicles and other spin-offs. <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~nan suggested that the p~oposed resolution <br />regarding attendance at seminars include wording to require <br />that a seminar description, including the benefit to Ramsey <br />in having an individual attend, be sL~mitted. <br /> July 29, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 20 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
