Voting Yes: Mayor Heiman, (buncilm~bers COx, <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />B. _Appo_ intment Of _Special Investigator - <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that in the opinion of the <br />investigator, the June 30, 1985 letter regarding J.R.'s Saloon <br />signed by COuncilmembers Sorteberg, COx and Reimann was not a <br />violation of the open meeting law. <br /> <br />Oouncilm~nber COx stated that he feels it would inconsistent to <br />expect the taxpayers to pay the cost of the investigation and he <br />would be willing to pay a portion of that fee himself. Council- <br />rmamber (]ox suggested that the investigation fee be divided between <br />Council and the accusers. Councilm~mg)er Oox stated that one of the <br />accusers was Mr. Douglas Fountain and he should pay his fair share; <br />Councilm~mber (Dx sited an instance when Mr. Fountain voted no to <br />reoc~nend approval of a grading permit, prior to the l~]b]ic <br />hearing, a public hearing which Mr. Fountain was so adimant be <br />held. <br /> <br />Mr. Fountain stated that he had no comment to make at this time. <br /> <br />Councilm~ber Cox told Mr. Fountain to tell the people about the <br />time he came to his shop. <br /> <br />Oouncilm~mber Sorteberg stated that he is not interested in hearing <br />this discussion now. <br /> <br />Mr. Fountain stated that he would like to make a comment. <br /> <br />Oouncilm~nber Cox stated Councilm~ber Sorteberg has stated he <br />isn't interested in hearing any more at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an suggested that Mr. Fountain make his comments during <br />Citizen Input at the ~ext Council meeting. <br /> <br />Case $10: Landfill: <br /> <br />A. ~etro cok~Tcil Study_ Of Organized Refuse Collection ~7 The <br /> ~win Cities Metro Area .- <br /> <br />Council noted receipt of the Metro COuncil Study Of Organized <br />Refuse COllection in the ~Win Cities Metro Area. <br /> <br />August 13, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 14 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
