Publicity Subcommittee CASE %2: DISCUSSION R~GARDI~ MEMBERSHIP IN ANOKA COUNT~ (]~AMBER OF ~OMMERCE AND/OR ANOKA AREA C~AMBER OF ~CE At your meeting on July 10, 1985, Mr. Tc~ Snell of the Anoka County Chamber of (km~eroe gave a p~esentation on his organization. ~he O0~mission discussed whether the should join either the Anoka County (hamber or the Anoka Area Chamber of (k~merce. Mr. Snell stated that he approached the Anoka Area Chamber regarding a joint ~ bership in both the Anoka County and Anoka Area Chambers. ~he Anoka Area Chamber of ~0mmeroe is not interested in having a joint membership with the Anoka County Chamber of (k~merce. O0~mission Action: Your action will be to reoc~mend to the City Council whether the City should join either the Anoka County or Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce. If the Omn~ission reoo~mends joining, it should also recom- mend which Chamber (or both) the City should join. CASE %3: UPDATE ON R~OUEST FROM MATE P4~C4t~DING EXTENSI(~ OF SANITARY SEWER ~he Eoonomic and Finance Su~it~ met with Arlin Waelti, Bond Counsel, regarding this matter on August 21, 1985. Ms. Waelti offered some recommendations for structuring the financing for the extension of sewer and water to the industrial area so that the City can recoup its costs. This Subcommittee will take these suggestions to the City's fiscal consultants for further discussion and work.
