I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> S~ATE OF MINNESOfl~ <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, November <br />13, 1984 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilm~mber Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City AttorneyWilliam Goodrich <br />City Assessor Lester Wirz <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Council meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and <br />led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Z~T <br /> <br />Dale McKnight - 7421 150th Lane - Representing Ramsey Jaycee's - Stated <br />that the Jaycee's would like to install lighting at the following park <br />locations: 1) Titterud tennis courts; 2) One ball diamond at Central <br />Park. ~he Jaycee's have lights, poles and installation equipment; they <br />could start the project this fall and finish in the spring. ~he lights are <br />solar cell efficient and are requesting that Council approve the <br />installation and accept responsibility for maintenance and utility bills <br />for the lights. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann <br />that the City accept the Jaycee's gift of park lighting; that the City <br />assume responsibility for maintenance and utility bills for the lighting; <br />and that the Jaycee's coordinate the installation with the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced that this week is National Education Week. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented members of the Ramsey Area Jaycee's with a plaque <br />in appreciation for all the outstanding contributions that organization has <br />made to the City. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
