Absent: Councilmember Kurak. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Local Officials Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc reported that a local officials meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2004 at Chomonix <br />with golf available beginning at 12:00 noon and a dinner at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Gamec suggested <br />contacting Assistant City Administrator Nelson if anyone is interested in attending. <br /> <br />2) No Wake Ordinance <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec requested clarification on the no wake ordinance, noting that the ordinance states <br />the no wake zone is fi'om mile marker 4.4 to 5.2. He was under the impression the no wake zone <br />was fi'om the Anoka border to mile marker 5.2. <br /> <br />Commulfity Development Director Frolik confirmed the no wake zone is from mile marker 4.'4 to <br />5.2 and agreed to obtain a copy of the City Council minutes reflecting this ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he has received comments from residents who are concerned about erosion <br />and requested fiu'ther review by the Public Works department. <br /> <br />3) Annual Safety Program <br /> <br />Police Captain Dwyer announced the City will hold its annual kids safety program on July 20 and <br />21, 2004, at the Boy Scout Camp on Highway 47. He indicated a banquet will be held on July 21 <br />at the Fire Station and invited the City Council members to attend if available. He stated that <br />residents may contact Joleen Wiemann at 763-427-6812 for further information. Police Captain <br />Dwyer indicated they have received a good response for the event. <br /> <br />4) National Night Out <br /> <br />Police Captain Dwyer announced that this year's National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, <br />August 3, 2004. Information packets are available to the public that include information about <br />organizing neighborhood events. Police Captain Dwyer indicated the City Council members will <br />be receiving invitations to attend National Night Out events in the near future.
