Ir~ any yards: off-street parking spaces, terraces, <br /> awnings, canopies, steps, chimneys, flag poles; <br /> b. Fences, walls and hedges: notwithstanding any other <br /> provisions of this ordina~ce, fences, walls, and <br /> hedges are permitted ir, or along the edge of any resi- <br /> dential yard; <br /> c. Irs rear yards: recreational and laundry drying equip- <br /> ment, arbors and trellises, balconies, breezeways, open <br /> porches, detached outdoor living rooms and private <br /> garages, providing a setback of 5 feet or the depth <br /> of any existing ease~ents, whichever is greater, is <br /> mair~tained; <br /> d. Height limitations shall not apply to radio and TV <br /> transmission towers, barns, silos, and other struc- <br /> tures on farms, to church spires, belfries, cupolas <br />' and doraes, mor~uments, water towers, fire and hose <br /> towers, observation towers, chimneys and smokestacks, <br /> flag poles, telephone poles, television antennae, and <br /> parapet walls not extending more than four feet above <br /> the limiting height of the building. <br /> <br />Home Occupations <br /> <br />A home occupation shall be permitted as an accessory use if it <br />complies with the requirements of this section. <br /> <br />The h,:,rqe occupation shall be carried on by a member of the family <br />residing ir~ the dwelling ur~it. <br /> <br />The home occupation shall be carried on wholly within the <br />prir~cipal structure unless specifically authorized by the <br />cor~ditiorlal use permit granted by this sectior~. <br /> <br />Exterior displays or sigr, s other than those permitted by the <br />City's sign ordinanoe, exterior storage of materials, and <br />exterior indication of the home occupation or variation from the <br />residential character of the prir, cipal structure shall not be <br />pern~it t ed. <br /> <br />Hor,'~e occupations require a conditiorlal use permit from the City. <br />The applicatior, process for such permit is identified in Section <br /> of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Height Regulations <br /> <br />Nc, structure shall exceed 35 feet in height above average ground <br />level unless approved by the zoning officer.
