Mr. Goodrich stated that since the public hearing, be has spoken with the Metro Council and they indicated they will not be ci~anging, in any substantial way, the Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan, n6t withstanding two days of public testimony they heard; they will be adopting the plan on March 14, 1985. City Administrator Schnelle referred to Councilmember Cox's earlier contents during City Assessor Staff report and stated that he will take it upon himself to research the 4 or 5 cases sited by Councilmember Cox and report back to Council with his findings. Mr. $chnelle stated that Staff has always been concerned and it is important for Council and citizens to know all the facts in situations where the market value is higher than the selling price. Councilm~mber Cox stated that the problem is with State laws and he pointed out these _,~_ses so the citizens would be aware of what is going on. Mr. Schnelle stated that the City has to be very careful when siting eoon0mics so everyone ~nderstands the situation; incomplete stories February 26, 1985 Page 16 of 26
