Absent: Mayor Heitman. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Parks: <br /> <br />IoA. .Park Lighting Study_ - <br /> <br /> Mr. -Dennis Dor~van, Park & Recreation (kxnmission (~airman, was present and <br />Istated that the Park Board feels that lighting of fields at Central Park is a <br />91 priority ite~ as noted in the City's 5 year capital improvement plan. Mr. <br /> Donovan also stated that the position statement of the Quad Cities Park Board <br /> reaffirms lighted fields as high priority. Mr. Donovan stated that he and Mr. <br />I Paatikka have reviewed lighting features at other and recommend <br /> l~rks <br /> proceeding with a study for lighting at Central Park comparable to that of <br /> Sunny Acres and Rocket Park in Anoka. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Cox and seconded by Councilme~ber Sorteberg to approve <br />the study for lighting the combination softball/soccer fields at Central Park <br />at a oost not to exceed $600.00. Further, that this approval for a study does <br />not imply Ramsey's commitment to lighting expenditures for Central Park. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Donovan suggested that a joint Park Board and Council <br />meeting be conducted after the lighting study is o~mpleted. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
