Minnesota Statutes 1984, section 462.355, <br />12 subdivision 2, is amended to read: <br />13 Subd. 2. [PROCEDURE FOR PLAN ADOPTION A~ AMENDMENT.] The <br /> <br />14 planning agency may, unless otherwise provided by charter or <br /> <br />15 ordinance consistent with the municipal charter, a~ep~ a~ ame~ <br />16 recommend to the governing body the adoption and amendment from <br />17 time to time of a comprehensive municipal plan as ~s <br /> <br />18 ~eeemmen~a~en ks ~he ~eYe~m~m~ bevy. The plan may be prepared <br />19 and adopted in sections, each of which relates to a major <br /> <br />20 subject of the plan or to'a major geographical section of the <br /> <br />21 municipality. The governing body may propose amem~mem~s %~ the <br />22 comprehensive municipal plan and amendments to it by resolution <br />23 submitted to the planning agency. Before adopting the <br /> <br />24 comprehensive municipal plan or any section or amendment of the <br />25 plan, the planning agency shall hold at least one public hearing <br />26 thereon. A notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing <br />27 shall be published once in the official newspaper of the <br /> <br /> <br />
