Minnesota Statutes 1984, section 473.858, <br />2 subdivision 1, is amended to read: <br />3 Subdivision 1. Within three years following the receipt of <br />4 the metropolitan system statement, every local goverru~ental unit <br />5 shall have prepared a comprehensive plan in accordance with Laws <br />6 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23 and the applicable planning <br />7 statute and shall have submitted the plan to the metropolitan <br />8 council for review pursuant to section 473.175. The provisions <br />9 of Laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23 ~hall supersede the <br />10 provisions of the applicable planning statute wherever a <br />11 conflict may exist. If the comprehensive municipal plan is in <br />12 conflict with the zoning ordinance, the zoning ordinance <br />13 supersedes the plan. <br />14 Sec. 5.
