Members Present: Mayor Gary Heitman (buncilmember A1 Sorteberg Councilm~mber Gary Reimann Oouncilmember Arnie Cox Councilm~mber Jean Schlueter Also Present: Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg Mayor Heitman called the special Council meeting to order at 7:48 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. CITIZEN IN~UT APPROVAL OF AGENDA Mayor Heitman stated that the Charter Co~ssion met earlier this evening and he would like to add a case to the agenda to address a charter anendment that has been reccm~ended for adoption. Councilmember Cox i~quired if there is a timing proble~ with Council acting on the reooz~mendation the same evening in which it was made. Councilmember Sorteberg inquired if acting on the reco~tion prior to approval of the Charter Ommmission minutes oould create ~1~. Mayor Hei~an replied that time oonstraints oome into play after Council takes action on the reoc~ amendment. Charter Con~ission m~nbers Curt Titterud, John Lichter, Stan Data and Brenda Bauerkemper were present and stated that in their opinion, there would be no probl~n with Council acting on the reoo~tion this evening. Mayor Heitman also noted that City Acoountant Jeanne Haapala has suhzitted her resignation and Council should take action on it. Council oonsensus was to approve the agenda for May 30, 1985 as follows: May 30, 1985 Page 3 of 11
