Anoka Landfill Grounds Report: <br /> <br />(buncil noted receiving the Landfill Grounds Report for May, 1985. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman requested City Staff to research whether or not that final cover <br />and seeding supposed to have been completed by June 15 has been acoo~plished. <br /> <br />B. First Ouarter 1985 Groundwater Monitoring Report For Anoka Landfill; <br /> <br />Council noted receiving the first quarter 1985 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br />for Anoka Landfill and City Engineer Raatikka letter dated June 25, 1985 <br />regarding second quarter groundwater monitoring data. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx stated that the Anoka Union is leaving the impression that <br />it is private residential wells being tested rather than monitoring well on the <br />landfill property. <br /> <br />C. Staff Recommendation Regarding Recycling Of Waste Oil And Develo_rx~ent Of <br /> A Compo_ ste Site: <br /> <br />Council noted that the Landfill Ad Boc Co~mit~ will have a reo~m~ended <br />plan for recylcing and o0mposting available for Council at their meeting <br />scheduled for July 23, 1985. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca of the Landfill Ad Hoc Cxm~ittee was present and stated that <br />the (km~ittee needed additional time to gather information; the (lm~ittee has a <br />special meeting planned for July 10, 1985 to receive that additional <br />information. <br /> <br />Case %10.- Informational: <br /> <br />A. Vacation Of Drainage Easement Regarding Lot 3. Block 4. Menkveld'~ <br /> Q~untry_ Park: <br /> <br />Gouncil noted City Engineer letter dated June 4 to Mr. and Mrs. Kellogg <br />explaining what they will have to do to vacate the subject drainage easement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gox stated that the easement was there for a purpose and he is <br />very concerned that vacating it will cause problems for the neighboring <br />property. Gouncilmember Cox stated that there all kinds of drainage problems <br />in the City and the Kellogg's physical m~ement of land can cause problems for <br />their neighbor. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the Kellogg's cannot add fill across the property line <br />and all run-off drains into the same low area. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued and Council consensus was to table further discussion ~til <br />the next regular meeting of City Council. <br /> June 25, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 19 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
