WIr.r.TAM LOUCgg <br /> <br />Mr. Loucks is requesting a metes and bounds subdivision of <br />approximately 6 acres from his 80 acre parcel along Highway 47. <br />Mr. Loucks is requesting this subdivision in order to sell the <br />property to his grandson. Mr. Loucks has stated that a legal <br />description was drafted for this p~rcel in 1983. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission considered another request <br />for a metes and bounds subdivision of 5 acres of Mr. Loucks' <br />property at its July 2, 1985 meeting. The Commission recommended <br />that the Applicant, Mr. Towle, plat this parcel. Mr. Towle is in <br />the ixooess of platting this. <br /> <br />Please mote that the City Ordinance regarding subdivisions states <br />that variances may be granted only in cases where by reason of <br />topography or other physical conditions, strict compliance with <br />the subdivision requirements could cause exceptional or undue <br />hardship to the enjoyment of a property right. The City Council,' <br />at its August 27, 1985 meeting, reaffirmed their position that no <br />variances (metes and bounds subdivisions) shall be granted unless <br />fimdings citing conditions proving a hardship are presented and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-a) contains the following information for your <br />considerations <br /> a.
