(~airman Peterson <br />stated that Mr. Lee Johnson has also resigned from the (k~mission and the <br />vacancy is being advertised. <br /> <br />~ R_-quest For Preliminary Plat _Apg~roval Of Sortebero's 4th <br /> A~dition; Case Of Mr. A1 Sorteberg: <br /> <br />Motion by (km~issioner Deemer and seconded by __cc~m_ issioner Zimmerman to <br />zeo0~mend approval of the r~quest for p~eliminary plat approval of Sorteberg's <br />4th Addition oontingent upon oomplianoe with those items listed in City <br />Engineer letter dated August 9, 1985, with the exception of Item #2, soil <br />borings, to which a variance is reoommended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: ~hairman Peterson, ~_~_ issioners Zi~merman, <br />Sbu,way, ~cmer and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: (km~issioner <br />LaDue. <br /> <br />~ Requ_ est For Sketch Plan Review: Case Of Mr. Wayne Knudson.. <br /> <br />Mr. Knudson was p~esent. <br /> <br />(~ission consensus is that Mr. Knudson should proceed to the p~eliminary plat <br />stage with an east/west plat configuration and exter~ling 152nd through the <br />plat; Coumission is agreeable to granting sufficient variances to allow for 6, <br />rather than 5, lots in the plat if the developer p~ovides for extending 152nd <br />through the plat. <br /> <br />Request For Conditional Use Permit For Home Occupa~ tion: Case Of <br /> ~4r. Donald Ness: <br /> <br />Mr. Ness was p~esent and stated that he is requesting approval to operate a <br />hc~e occupation in order to store his business equipment and materials at his <br />residence; the business does not create additional traffic to the ~eighborhood. <br /> <br />(k~ssion reviewed the findings of fact. (~m~nissioner Deemer referred to Item <br />5.d in the findings of fact standards for consideration (T~at there are similar <br />uses in the City of Ramsey), and stated that he knows of no other legal similar <br />uses in Ramsey; there are similar ~on-conforming uses but non-oonforming uses <br />should not be classified as a standard for consideration. <br /> <br />Motion by (1~issioner ~cmer to delete Item %5.d fz~ the proposed findings of <br />fact in the case of Mr. Donald Ness. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Peterson stated that ordinance requires that the <br />subject of similar uses be addressed. <br /> <br />August 12, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
