Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:27 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig clarified this special district would only tax commercial properties. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing on an Ordinance Establishing Vision Clearance Triangle <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that an ordinance was ~introduced at the April <br />13, 2004 meeting amending Section 9.11.01 creating a requirement to maintain a clear vision <br />triangle at the intersections with City streets. Following a public hearing this ordinance is <br />intended to enhance the safety of the City's street system. This ordinance would primarily <br />provide a clearance zone so no bushes, fences or structures are within the vision clearance <br />triangle, which would extend 30 inches to nine feet above the top of the curb. The code includes <br />a grandfather clause which states that existing.buildings shall not be considered an obstruction. <br />Landscaping within the vision clearance {riangle which is in existence prior to the date of <br />adoption of the ordinance would be viewed on a case by case basis. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:33 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded' by Councilmember Zimmennan, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion canded.
