Council zeoesse~ at 9:20 p.~. <br /> <br />Mayor Beitman called the meet/rig back to order at 9:35 p.~. <br /> <br />~ C~nsideration Of The Use Of .A Consent ~Agenda: <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that a consen.t agenda. ~.s a meth.od of <br />speeding up council meetings and includes ~nose routine case items that do <br />~ot require discussion. O~e motion will approve all case items on the <br />oonsent agenda; that motion oan also delete a case(s) from the consent <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Council~ber COx stated that he thinks the consent agenda often times <br />puts the council ~eeting audienoe in a position of not knowing what is <br />being acted on and it does not give. [xoper respect to all issues. (buncil- <br />me~ber Oox stated that Council oomlng to the ~eeting prepared to act would <br />s~cd up the meeting. Resolution waiving did sl(~ up the ~ocess but that <br />has been resolved. ~he Mayor's reading of ead~ case introduction is also <br /> <br />Mayor ~ei~an agreed and stated that his reading of the case introduction <br />is an effort to enlighten the audienoe as to what is up for discussion and <br />action. <br /> <br />Mayor ~eitman stated that he would like Mr. Schrm_lle and City Attorney <br />Goodrich to Prepare a list of case types in Ramsey that could typically <br />be plaoed on a consent agem~a and sub, it it to CouncLl for discussion. <br /> <br />Council~e~ber Reimann stated that Council ~bers should co~e to the <br />meetings prepared to act and any case discussion should be brought about <br />by way of a motion. <br /> <br />~ Rec_A~ Pgtitions For Counc~]m~bers _cn~.
