I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sevick then proceeded to review his letter of December 7, 1984 to Mr. Don <br />Otter of Waste J%~nage~ent of Minnesota, Inc. regarding the South 80 Sorrow <br />Plan; this letter was included in the &genda. <br /> <br />Gary Beitman - 16490 Drani~ - ~at changes in elevation will occur because of <br />the ~tdning? <br /> <br />Mr. Sevick q~oted some elevation figures and Mr. Beitman noted that in some <br />places there would be as much as a 25' change. <br /> <br />Mr. Otter stated that the overall mean elevation is about 9.2'. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnie Gox - 17705 Novthen - Inquired if City {~ineer has reviewed the <br />proposed elevation changes in relationship to the property just to the south. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that be has not reviewed the effect on the <br />property to the south; it would be sloping ir~ard at a 4:1 slope. <br /> <br />Otter stated that there is a 100' setback and then the 4:1 slope. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that based on the present landfill operation, it is <br />predicted that the site will be full by Ma}. of 1987; the turning add use of <br />fill is being requested for an ~nount of time that is in oonjuction with <br />CDunty closure and post-closure requirements. Mayor Gamec then inquired as to <br />lx~ much o~ver soil is ~ for closure and post-closure. <br /> <br />Mr. Otter stated that the May, 1987 date is speculative; closing is based on <br />the rate of voltm~e received. Mr. Otter stated he can only roughly estimate <br />how much oover will be ~-~ for closure ar~ post-closure; it depends On bow <br />much soil will be ~ for e~viror~ental protection. <br /> <br />Gary Beitman inquired if there will be a r-~v3 tn pass through neighborhoods <br />transport fill or satisfy any mining operation needs. <br /> <br />Mr. Otter replied that all mining activity will be c~)ntained on the site. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the fill is -r~'c~]ed and if the mining permit is not <br />approved that fill will have to be transported into l~msey; [~ayor Gm~ec <br />inquired as to how many truckloads a day would be o~ming into Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Otter replied that it would be 50-100 truckloads a day. <br /> <br />Mr. Sevick stated that access would be provided from the 160 acre parcel to <br />the north of this particular site; all traffic would be across the existing <br />area that is designated for borrow or landfill purposes. Traffic will not <br />o~me in on Sunfish Blvd. <br /> <br />Mayor Gapec stated that on real wino~y days, even watering does not work and <br />inquired if it ~ould be possible to cease minirg operations on those kinds of <br />days in order for better dust oontrol. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that it would be better ts oontinue excavation as it would be <br />bringing up moist dirt. <br /> <br />1~.13 Cl~ 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
