Ultimate Land Use <br /> <br /> The present site owner, the City of Anoka (and the City of Ramsey <br />if it is successful in its present litigation), will have the option as <br />to the final use of the landfill site so long as it (they) retain <br /> <br />m <br />m <br /> <br />ownership. No use of the site by the operator ms lessee or ultimate <br />owner will be considered that will be detrimental to the maintenance of <br />adequate final earth and vegetative cover, surface water drainage <br /> <br />systems, groundwater monitoring wells, and/or gas probes and collection <br />systems. Prior to utilization other then open space, the owner, if the <br />present operator, will submit to the Department for review and <br />approval, a plan for final us~. <br /> <br />FACILITY CLOSURE COSTS <br /> <br /> This section provides an engineering estimate of closure costs for <br />the Anoka Sanitary Landfill. Methodology used in the estimates is <br />similar to that applied at many of the sanitary landfills operated by <br /> <br />Waste Management, Inc. throughout <br />involved in completing the site <br />vegetation, the various notifications, and the <br />certification of closure. Costs are as follows: <br /> <br /> 2. Placement of Final Cover <br /> <br />the nation. It describes work <br /> <br /> covering the establishment of <br /> <br /> preparation of the <br /> <br />Ten acres will remain uncovered at the end <br />of the site life. With a 2{-foot thickness <br />4D,30D cubic yards will be needed. Of this, <br />1 foot must be _~¥.terial having a permeability <br />of less than 10-~ cm/sec. <br /> <br />32,200 cu. yds. at $1.00/cu. yd. hauling <br />plus SI.OD/cu. yd. placing and grading -- <br />32,200 x $2.00/cu yd. <br /> <br />lO <br /> <br />$ 64,400 <br /> <br /> <br />
