Enclosure (D2-o) contains a copy of this draft for your review and comment. ~e Commission would like your comments before they proceed with getting bids for the actual production of this brochure. ~uncil Action: Your action w~ll be to comment on the contents of the brochure so that the Gon~ission can rework the brochure accordingly before going out for bids. COMMISSION TO AMEND CHAPTER ]]..OF _TILE CITY CHARTER ,TO CONFORM WIT[t MIN~qESOTA:_STA~UTF, At their February 13, 1985 meeting, the Economic Development Commission reviewed and discussed Chapter 8 of the City Charter compared with the requirements of Minnesota Statute 429 regulating local improvements and special assessments. The Commission recommended that the City Council initiate proceedings to amend Chapter 8 of the City Charter by replacing it with Minnesota Statute 429. The minutes of this discussion and a memo from the City Attorney on this subject are contained in enclosure (D2-p) for your information. ~onncil Action: Your action will be based on your discussion of this matter.
