O~mmissionsr Greenberg stated that if the City is not ~oin9 to attract business develotx~ent, then too much land is zoned industrial. ~issioner Siebert stated that Gateway would serve more than Ramsey and the population of Anoka, (~amplin, Dayton, Elk River and Anclover should be taken into consideration. Om, nissioner Sieber stated that Ramsey is 30 miles north of Minnesota's industrial h~b and he doesn't feel t_bis area will 0row as a business force until that southern area is fully developed. Om~issioner Greenber9 stated that he has positive feelings about this corridor along Bwy. {1O: it is zoned industrial/cxmmer¢ial, has a good source of electrical service, soils are condusive to industrial develol~ent. Oomissioner Sieber pointed out that Ramsey has a high water table and until on site systems are eliminated, there is a potential for industry to contaminate groundwater. Discussion ens~ regarding the initial cash outlay to i~prove the airport, Ramsey's share of hhat cost and potential ways of financing. Co~nissioner Sigher stated that he is not as opposed to the airport as popular opinion se~s but he wants to see on paper those figures that the projections ~ere base~ on.
