Chairman Greenber9 stated that he believes Ramsey's post actions prove it's oommitment to po~ercial and industrial develol:ment. I I I co~issioner [Dx stated that thousands of dollars have been spent to brin9 this oonmunity to where it is today. Co~missioner Cox stated that the request for a position statement was initiated by Airport ~ission member Dick Siebez, a person that does not want cz~mercial develol~uent in the City but has no problem in deriving benefit from the tax base created by oommercial develolm~nt, commissioner Cox stated that Mr. Sieber started a business in a basement in Andover and it's people like this that guest.ion a policy that has been established in Ramsey for more than 20 years and request that it be changed to please then. I I I Motion by Ck~missioner Bardin and seoonded by Ck~mmissioner Vevea to inform the Airport Commission that it is the opinion of the E~ono~ic Development Commission that Ramsey is OOnl~itted to balanced oommercial and industrial develolm~ent based on the fact that this Economic Develolm~nt Con~nission and the Airport CDmmission were established by City Council for that sole purpose. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Coe~issioners Rardin, Fults, Miller, Muller, Vevea and Cox. Voting No: None. Absent: C(mmissioners Schmidt and Wagner.
