I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Comissioner LaDue to recommend <br />approval of the preliminary plat for Oxbow Addition. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Peterson inquired ~f there would be any <br />contingencies or is this Commission satisfied with Mr. McLauglin's oomments <br />regarding DNR. Commissioner Deemer replied that this motion is not including <br />any contingencies; developer still needs DNR approval in order to obtain <br />building permits. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners LaDue, Johnson, <br />Bendriksen, Zi~nerman and Deemer. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Kennen. <br /> <br />~ Recoest_For Metes And Bounds Sub~]v]~ion: Case Of nauren <br /> <br />Mr. Wetterlind was present and stated that he is requesting a metes and bounds <br />subdivision to split his lot into one 6 acre lot and two 2 acre lots. <br /> <br />Commission discussed the fact that the property is located in an area <br />restricted to a 1 unit/10 acre density. <br /> <br />Commission informed Mr. Wetterlind that there will be a joint meeting between <br />City Council, Planning and Zoning and Metro Council regarding the density <br />issue on March 7, 1985 at Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Commission tabled this case until after the joint meeting on March 7, 1985. <br /> <br />Sketch P)an Review: ~e Of Curt Ku~ala: <br /> <br />Mr. Kummala was present and stated he is proposing to construct a larger and <br />even are attractive fitness center than his existing one and is concerned <br />with what the City will allow on the neighboring properties. Mr. Kummala <br />stated that he wouldn't even object to pole barns as long as the exteriors and <br />grounds were well maintained. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the City has not adopted a site plan ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman stated that it might be good for the City to look at <br />zoning a portion of this industrial area as commercial. <br /> <br />~he Commission is in favor of the City adopting a Site Plan ordinance. <br /> <br />Co~ission consensus is to agree with the ooncept and sketch plan but to <br />require that the plat designate Lot 1 and Outlot rather than Lots 1 and 2 in <br />order for better City control over future re-subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seoonded by Commissioner ~)~nue to adjourn <br />this regular meeting of the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />March 5, 1985 <br /> <br />PAGE 4 OF 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
