I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Counci lmembe r adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RES~UTION ~85- WHEREAS, Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW (CSAH ~5) is a County State Aid Highway and it is the responsibility of the Anoka O~unty Highway Department to keep it in a safe driving o~ndition; and WHEREAS, the Burlington Northern Railroad has the responsibility of maintaining the railroad grade crossing on Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW in a safe driving oondition for motorists using Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW; and WHEREAS, Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW is a major arterial route serving the residential, commercial and industrial areas of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, due to the heavy industrial and commercial traffic on Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW, the railroad crossing has deteriorated to a point of becoming a dangerous traffic hazard to the citizens of traverse on this major arterial transportation route. NG~ ~lqEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~RE CITY OOUNCIL OF 9~{E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA QOUNTY, S~TE OF MINNES(YlI~, as follows: 1) It is hereby requested that the Anoka County Highway Engineer request that Burlington Northern Railroad have the Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW grade crossing repaired during this year's construction period. This crossing receives an exceptional amount of heavy truck traffic due to the landfill. 2) It is directed that a oopf of this resolution be furnished to the following parties: Anoka County Bighway Engineer Paul Ruud Anoka County Commissioner Natalie Baas Ramsey Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen Burlington Northern Railroad ~he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of April, 1985.
