Councilmember ~',~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> adoption: - - /~ <br /> <br /> RESC~/JTION ~85- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Armstrong Blvd. NW (County Road #83} is a major arterial <br /> transportation route in the City of Ramsey serving the many citizens who reside <br /> in the northwest quadrant of the City; and - <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Armstrong Blvd. N~ (County Road ~83) is an old road which, <br /> due to population 9rowth in the area it serves, has made it an unsafe <br /> transportation route for reasons as follows: <br /> <br /> a) ~his narrow road does not allow adequately for the hea,,v~. <br /> vehicular traffic that travel~.thi, s a~terial route daily, <br /> ~ ~}-_"~.i~ .~~v~-blc-'clc lana~..cn the <br /> r ' g <br /> to navigate this very inadequate roadway during the same <br /> time frames; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, Armstrong Blvd. NW is part of the Anoka County Highway <br /> network that has the responsibility of keeping major arterial roadways up to <br /> safe standards for the area they serve. <br /> NC~ ~]~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 944E CI. TY (3GUNCIL OF ~94E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOgA, as follows. <br /> <br /> 1) It is requested that Armstrong Blvd. NW be upgraded to meet the <br /> demands of the area it is to serve in the City of Ramsey.
