I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PR0(~EDINGS OF CITY GOUNCIL <br />FdBLI C REARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA GOUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey MuniciI~l Center, 15153 No, then Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />regarding Sealooating Improvement Project ~85-4, Jaspar Street N~ area. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Counci~r Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Counc~r Arnie COx <br />Councilmsmber A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City A~ninistrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney Goodrich (arrived 7:41 p.m.) <br />Larry Koshak of ~akanson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />C.~T.T, TO O]~F_.~ <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the public hearing to order at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sealcoating Improvement Project <br />~85-4 showing the affected area and estimated total and per unit costs. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Reitman noted that acoording to City Charter, Council cannot take any <br />action on improvement projects until 60 days following the public hearing. <br /> <br />Bill Ayers - 7210 161st Lane - Stated that there is s~me street deterioration <br />in his project area that should be repaired prior to sealooating. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak replied that the City Streets Department is responsible for <br />necessary p~tching and filling repairs prior to sealooating. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that if the repairs are too major, the City will authorize <br />the contractor to make the repairs. <br /> <br />T~z Dahlen - 6621 156th Avenue - Inquired if the City puts out for competitive <br />bids on sealcoating projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak replied that the City follows State statute - the project is <br />advertised in the newspapers and construction bullentins and bids are received <br />at City ~all; the bids are then presented to Council for award reco~mm~dation. <br />The figures presented tonight are estimates. <br /> April 9, 1985 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
