Any low area permanently or seasonally <br />covered with shallow water, including marsh, swamp, <br />bog, wet meadow, slough or intermittent lake or flood- <br />way, except any area which is 1 acre or smaller in <br />size. <br /> <br /> The soil is seasonally flooded, but during <br />the growing season it is well drained. Vege- <br />tation is dependent on the duration of flood- <br />ing. Due to the nature of Type I wetlands, <br />the [~R did not identify any within the study <br /> <br />Type II. <br /> <br /> Inland Fresh Meadows. The soil usually is <br />without standing water during most of the <br />growing season, but is water logged within <br />at least a few inches of its surface.
