Vegetation includes <br /> grasses, bulrushes, spikerushes and various <br /> other marsh plants such as cattails, arrow- <br /> heads and ~mart weed. <br /> <br />Inland Deep Fresh Marsh. The soil is covered <br />with 3 to 6 feet or more of water during the <br />gr~ing season. Vegetation includes cattails <br />reeds, bulrushes, spikerushes and wild rice. <br /> <br />Inland Open Fresh Marsh. Shallow ponds and <br />reservoirs are included in this type. Water <br />is usually less than 10 feet deep and is <br />fringed by a border of emergent vegetation. <br />Vegetation includes pond weeds, wild celery, <br />coon tail, muskgrasses, water lilies and <br />spatterdocks. <br /> <br />Type VI. <br /> <br /> Shrub Swamps. The soil is usually water <br />logged during the growing season and is often <br />covered with as much as 6 inches of water. <br />Vegetation includes alders, willows, dogwoods <br />and swamp-lx ivet. <br /> <br />~.
