' <br /> <br />May 6, 1985 ~ndfill Ad Hoc Cc,,,~dttee meeting minutes - Case %1 - <br />Page 8 - Excerpt frc~ Mr. Dan Oomeau's o~mments in first paragraph - <br />'The consent order has nothing to do with agency approval of the <br />expansion or proposed expansion; MP(~ has indicated to Waste <br />Management that they will not re~iew expansion until the feasibility <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Fountain stated that these docmented oo~ments set <br />the parameters for discussing the request for a mining permit after the <br />develo~m~_nt moratoriu-~ is lifted. <br /> <br />Motion failed for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca stated that Mr. Fountains o0~ments pertain to expansion; expansion <br />and mining permit are two separate issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson asked Mr. Miller what the consequences would be if Waste <br />Management of Minnesota is not granted a mining permit. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller replied that soils to complete the site would have to be obtained <br />fr~m off the site and trucked in. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson asked Mr. Miller if he feels that a better job of ooverage can be <br />accomplished if the mining permit is granted. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller replied that the soil is definitely ~ for proper ooverage and <br />the process would be simpler if the owner could use the soils fr~m the <br />adjoining property.
