Anne Norris, City Planner,
Page Two
June 7, 1985

lots in this area would have on these crossings.

Lastly, attached as exhibit B is'a copy of our zoning classifications
for this area of our City. As you can see, it is I-l, I-2 and A-1.
The A-1 classification is for agricultural conservation. For the
most part this.~ill not have a negative effect on the project. However,
because agricultural uses.areallowed abutting this subdivision, it
should be known that within an agricultural use animal farming and
metal-skinned exterior structures are allowed.

The I-1 and I-~'classifimations are for industrial uses. This ~y
have a negative effect on the area for selling of the individual lots
because industrial uses, for the most part, are not compatible with
adjoined residential districts.

The City of Elk River just recently reviewed this entire area both
at the Planning Commission and Council levels and amended the prior
zoning map to what is now shown.

In conclusion, I would like to indicate that this entire PUD looks
like it would be a very valuable asset to the City of Ramsey, however,
I want to make certain that you are aware of the conditions and zoning
classifications that the City of Elk River does have so as to eliminate
any possible problems in the future.

If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact

Rick Breezee
Building and Zoning Administrator

CC:
CC:

Thomas Bublitz, City Administrator
Philip Hals, Street Superintendent
