O~DERING 1985 SF~6~X)ATING PROJECTS AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIf~qS: The following is hereby submitted on this case: 1) Receipt of petition opposing Sealcoating Improvement Projects %85-6 and %85-12 - Enclosure (D2-b) contains petitions that were received against Sealcoating Improvement Projects %85-6 and %85-12. The signatures have been verified and represent more than 50% of the affected property owners in each project, which, by City Charter, precludes the City Council from proceeding with the project as proposed. Council, by motion should acknowledge receipt of the petition and order it be placed on filed. I I I I ! I I I Council Action: Your action will be to receive the petitions. Voting no Voting yes _~ I I I 2) Adoption of resolution ordering improv~nents and preparation of plans and specifications for the remainder of the sealcoating projects - The public hearings for the sealcoating improvement projects were held on April 9, 1985. ~uch as the City Charter requires a sixty day waiting period from the date of the public hearing to the date of final action to allc~ for counter petition, no action has been taken on these projects· Since no additional petitions have been received, Council action would be appropriate at this time. -2-
