Mr. Arnie Cox came befor the c~,,,,imsion to a(~cuss the use of funds ga~erated by the Park Festival and matched by Lutheran Brotherhood. The ~t could exceed $26,000.00. His suggestion x~as that the funds be used equally between Central Park and River's Bend Park. C~auissi~ Hetland said bq.~ own opinion was that the funds should be used e~clusively for Central Park because people are already living there and the park is not finished. Mr. Cox disagreed and said if there is a park developed at River's Bend i~ may encourage people to buy there. ~ ssioner Rustad said that maybe the my could be divided up between all parks. O,,~,,issioner Hetland said that he could see no progress at River's Bend and objected to putting money there. Mr. Cox stated that ~y people have donated labor and equipm~at to develop the park as far as it is nc~. Since there was not a quortgn the Crrm~ ssion did not make any offical m~tions and did not act on Case ~/1. meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
