Dean Rick Mary Jane Thompson, Group W Cable, Terry O~Connell and Thomas Creighton, Commission staff. ~pprove QCCCC Minutes of May 16, 1985 Motion: by Mr. Reimann, second by Mr. Melrose to approve the minutes of the May 16, 1985 meeting as written with the correction of a typographi- cal error in the first line under "Approval of Ninutes~' changing the Nr. to Ms. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Vice-Chair Beissel declared the motion carried unanimously. ~Approvai of Bills Motion: by Ms. Lindquist, second by Nr. Dulgar to approve payment of the ' following bills: $2,921.q7 to the City of Anoka; $28.00 to Regal Awards and Trophies. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye,.Vice-Chair Beissel declared the motion carried unanimously. Grou~ W Subscriber and Programming Report Ms. Thompson said penetration was still at 31~but she felt there would be a change before next month due to figures coming in from her sales staff. Ns. Thompson said that Group W had awarded five scholarships to Anoka High School students at the graduation cere- mony. Mr. Jacobson questioned the method used in awarding the scholarships and asked whether they weren't speclfically supposed to be given to students entering the telecommunications field. Mr. Beissel explained that the Commission had decided, due to time constraints, to award the scholarships this year to needy and de- serving students with no other criteria used. Specific criteria
