The county has agreed to install all the bituminous pavement on the project. ! will be working with H&S Asphalt and the county to coordinate this project. 1985 Seal Coa~ing Projects: The seal coating projects were awarded to Allied Blacktop Co. on July 9, 1985. Work on these projects is scheduled to start July 29, 1985. Irrigation: First Impressions has replaced the cracked irriga- tion pipes. However, upon completion of the repairs, the pump failed for an unknown reason. North Star Drilling replaced the pump on July 13, 1985 and the system should be operating in the near future. Mr. Crawley from First Impressions stated he intends to go to arbitration to recover his costs for repairs to the system. I told Mr. Crawley to submit his repair-costs to the City for reconsideration by the council. It may be cheaper to settle the claim rather than go to arbitration. Assessment Hegrings: With the construction season approximately one half over and the deadline for filing assessments with the county approaching, the City should schedule the assessment hearings. I would estimate that staff time required to complete the assessment roles could exceed 100 hours.
