Voting yes: Voting no: Item E: Appointment of Mr. Roy Shumwa¥ to Vacant Position on Planning and Zoninq Commission: The Planning and Zoning Commission has a vacant position expiring December 31, 1985. The Commission advertised for this position in the May/June edition of the Tri-City newsletter, on May 89, 1985 in the Anoka County Shopper and on May 51, 1985 in the Anoka County Union. There were originally two applicants for the position, but one later withdrew his name, leaving Mr. Roy Shumway as the only applicant. At its July 2, 1985 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission interviewed Mr. Shumway and recommended that he be appointed to the position and that a letter of thanks be sent to Dr. Duane Kennen for his time on the Commission.
