Controls ~eceip~.~ and d~sbursement~, m~gns <br />checks, fo~ecast~ fund needs, mod handles bank transactions. <br /> <br />15) P~epaies a~c] maintains cash flow projections for all city funds, <br />invests city funds acou~dingly and works with the City Engineer on <br />the cash flow needs'of improv~ent project~. <br /> <br />I 16) ?erforms other duties as may be assigned by the City <br /> Ac~uinistrator on a non-routine basis. <br /> <br />I 1) College graduate {4 year degree) in accounting, business or <br /> finance, or demonstrated exceptional abilities combined with <br /> public finance experience. Specific courses in management, <br /> I municipal accounting, investments, data processing and possibly <br /> computer programming. ~ <br /> <br /> 2) ~xperience in publig finance administration for a minimum of 3 <br />I years, or progressive general accounting/finance experience for a <br /> minimum of 5 to 7 years. Experience should include year end <br /> financia! statements, preparing budgets and conducting special <br />I financial analysis. Some supervisory experience is preferred. <br /> Minimum of 2 to 4 years progressing exposure to computer systems <br /> and various municipal applications. <br />I 3) Extensive knowledge of municipal accounting, office methods, and <br /> data processing methods and ~techniques. <br />I 4) Working knowledge in management of municipal investments and cash <br /> flow projections. <br />i 5) Good knowledge of modern supervisory techniques. ~I~e ability to <br /> plan, design and direct the work of various ~uployees and effectively <br />I effectively work with employees, outside agencies, independent <br /> auditors and the general public. <br /> <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />6) General understanding of various bonding techniques and the ability <br />to work with the city's fiscal consultant on public improvement <br />projects. <br /> <br />7) ~horough knowledge of city ordinances, charter provisions and state <br />'laws governing the financial a~inistration of city government. <br /> <br />S) ~bility to establish and maintain effective relationships with <br />department heads, city officials and the public. <br /> <br />9) Well developed munication skills ~nich enable the expression of <br />idea~ and ooncepts clearly in writing and orally. <br /> <br /> <br />
