I I I I I Motion by (l~ain~an Ippel to r~ that City O:,uncil endorse the Airport Master Plan, suh~it it to the reviewing agencies and future studies would evolve ft~ that endorsed Airport Master Plan. Further Diminution: Mr. Otto stated that the City car~t develop an airport in any way, shape or fo~ ~til the City is offered a gr~u~t and the ~ffer is aooepted; anything up to that point, the city can back out. Om~issior~r Stauffer stated that a r~tion should we well-thought out and supported by doc~mpentation. Compissioner $ieber stated that this Gcmlpission has lB man- years involved in studyin9 this airport issue; this Om~pission should knc~ by nc~ whether or not it is worth continuing with the Master Plan study. __Cream_ issioner Erickson agreed with Om~issioner Stauffer. Om~issior~r Sieber stated that the supporting documentation can be found in this Ocspmission's meeting minutes; no matter what this (km~ission reoc~mends, hope that (buncil would call for a joint meeting to ask questions and get answers. m (]c~missioner Larsen seconded the motion to r~ Council endorse the Airport Master Plan. Motion by __o_~_ issior~r Sieber to amend the motion to include lan~age that explicitly states that this motion is ~t a reoc~mendation to lxooeed or ~t Sept~ber 3, 1985 Page 6 of 7
